About me
I am a fully qualified frame buider (IMI VRQ Level 3 qualification in Bicycle Frame Building) and bike mechanic (VRQ Level 3 mechanics qualification).
Since watching Indurain and Pantani tear it up on Channel 4, I’ve loved riding my bike. Although racing around my paper round and pretending to be in the tour was the height of my early prowess. Since rediscovering my love of bikes and actually taking part in races, rides, and triathlons over the last 10 years, I have had a slow burning desire to do something I loved.
I am an archaeologist by training, with a passion for early stone tool technology and the movement of ideas through social groups. I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to build on my love of cycling, design, and history, combined with a desire to create frames that are inspired by the classics of the last 120 years has led me to create Alfano Frameworks.
Alfano Frameworks exists to share my love of cycling and get as many people as possible riding a bike that’s perfect for them.
