I take great joy in repairing old frames and returning them to use. Virtually any steel frame can be repaired, upgraded, or re-aligned. No matter how big or small the job, from bottle bosses and cable guides, to a new down tube, your frame can be repaired or upgraded to meet your needs.
In many ways, repairing a frame mirrors the frame building process, the frame will be mounted in the jig, necessary paint will be stripped and the the final product will be ready for repainting.
Please drop me an email on the contact form. Repairs normally take 4 weeks depending on their complexity.
I do not currently offer painting, but can recommend options depending on your budget.
Important Information
During the repair process a great deal of paint damage occurs and your frame may need a full respray. I will advise you of this after the initial assessment.
Frames should be delivered stripped and ready to work on. If you would like me to strip the frame this process is charged at £45.
Removal of old fittings is charged at 50% of the cost of a new fitting, for example; to remove a brake or mudguard bridge is £15.00.
All frame repairs are carried out using Reynolds 631 for the main frame (unless otherwise requested) and 525 on all other tubing.
